BRETHAIR, designed by Toyobo, is a lightweight material made of Pelprene. The material is an elastomer, having a combination of both features of rubbers and engineering plastics. Hardness grades widely ranged from 70A to 78D are provided in the production of the material. Used in both high and low service temperatures, the material exhibits excellent fatigue strength and chemical resistance.

Easily molded, the material is widely used in hospitals and care facilities because they are easy to wash and limit propagation of bacteria. BRETHAIR is also used in furniture in private as well as public settings. The material has high viscosity, flexibility, oil/chemical resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance and flame resistance.
